Originating from Clear Lake in the Willamette National Forest, the McKenzie flows south, cascading over Sahalie and Koosah Falls, and re-emerges at the striking blue Tamolitch Pool. It continues through diverse terrains, from narrow valleys to broad floodplains, eventually joining the Willamette River. The McKenzie River is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts, showcasing a diverse array of Pacific Northwest fauna in pristine surroundings. Bald eagles soar gracefully overhead, while ospreys dive into the river in search of fish.
